Stopped in on the fly figuring I could kill 2 birds with one stone, probably the biggest mistake I made. Asked for a 1 on the sides halfway up and blend/fade the other half and however much is taken off using the 1 take off the top, easy enough as I have never had an issue with this cut in 30 yrs untill today... The young lady finished and what she did get right was the 1 on the side, I pointed this out and explained again that I wanted it blended , she looked confused. At this point I was nervous and didn't want anymore damage, she assured me that she could get it done ,at one point a fellow stylist asked if she needed help, she declined . I found myself explaining to her that you start with a 1 then a 1 1/2, 2 etc... I thought they taught this in schools, go figure she still couldn't get it right . The stylist having no hair should have put up red flags, luckily hair grows back, hopefully I can have my regular place fix this mess.

2. My stylist used huge pieces of hair on each perm rod, then she put conditioner on my hair during the perm! Who does that! Later she told the manager that she did it because I requested it! WHAT?

Not sure about all the other negative reviews but Janet is great, always get my hair cut with her.

3. The manager said she'd fix it. She used huge body wave rods and tried to tell me it was a spiral perm. She rolled it VERY lose! It was not a spiral perm! I was turned away from the mirror the whole time and didn't know it till the end.

4. Now the bottom half of my hair and the entire back is straight. Very little curl anywhere else. And when the manager cut my long layered hair, the front was longer than the back and one side was longer by almost 2". She missed most of my bangs too. When I attended a party that night, I was embarrassed because everyone noticed and made comments that they felt sorry for me. I usually have great looking hair!

The girl that trimmed my hair cut it 2 completely different lengths now I have to cut it even shorter to fix it!!! Never coming back!!

Now on top of the money I already had to spent to cut my hair short, I have to pay for expensive treatments to fix this. I've never had short hair in my life! They lied, humiliated me, took advantage of me, and they don't care!

8. SmartStyle/Regis Salons Corporate would not return my calls either and hung up on me when I called. I've worked in customer service. I know yelling doesn't help and won't get you anywhere so I was very polite the whole time. I offered to send them pics and they didn't care to help me. I'm not picky, as long as I had some kind of wave or curl all over, I would've been happy. I have never been treated this way. Finally a month later, I received a partial refund and a letter with a list of all the salons Regis owns and thanking me for giving them a second chance. What?? I just can't believe a company like this and their employees don't care!

They ruined my long hair! I told them how I wanted my perm done/what worked well in the past. They did the opposite saying they knew best! Even put conditioner on my hair DURING the perm! Manager botched the perm to fix it and then blamed me for their mistake when my hair was damaged and half straight. Corporate (Regis parent company) didn't care. I had to cut it in a short bob after what they did! A month later I got a PARTIAL refund! Terrible.

1. The stylist lied to me and said she'd been licensed for years when she'd just got licensed 3 months ago.

Go somewhere with experience and ethics!

6. She then recommended I use more product and cut my hair short "to enhance the curl". Didn't she just accused me of using too much product to make it look bad? Now she says I need more product? She wouldn't even cut my hair to fix it.

7. She knew she messed up because she made a big deal of letting me know that her regional manager was her best friend.

5. A few days later the manager tried to blame ME when I showed her the botched job she did by asking if I used a lot of product or was on medication that would cause the perm to look so bad! I said of course not. I'd had a beautiful perm 8 months ago at their salon with no problems!
